As our team grows, so do our projects. The main focus remains being translation, education, and caring for those in need. Yet each of these takes an incredible amount of time and resources, staff, training, creating material, testing research, and infrastructure. The goal is to keep innovating in what we are already doing.
Translation: To be able to hire more people for proofreading and research. Publish the New Testament with Hexateuch by 2021. Publish Beta versions of books like Judges, Ruth, Esther and Proverbs.
Education: To one day have a full curriculum of primary education that Cabécars have access to in their own language. In biblical education we plan to create a podcast-like program people be passed through their phones. In these Cabécar audio programs we will talk about theology, explain difficult texts in the Bible and have sermons that will encourage them in their faith. These audio programs will be done by native speakers, in efforts to promote autonomous material.
Shelter: It’s also our hope to have more adequate facilities for our shelter. To run the shelter it’s essential to be able to keep full time Cabécar staff to help care for the people, maintenance, and crops. This is not always financially possible, nor are there always people available to come and help us.
