Translating the Bible into a non-literate culture goes hand in hand with education. One of Timothy’s daughters, Ruth Jones, has been focusing on this since she formally joined the mission in 2018. To this end we provide an after-school education program. The public education system is difficult for children due to it being in Spanish. We teach literacy, math, Bible, and help with homework. This is available for all those in our shelter or neighbors.
Along with this, one Saturday a month we provide native language biblical education. This is for church leaders, members or anyone serous about their faith and growth in biblical knowledge. Currently going through 1 Corinthians teaching “The Nature, Life, and Biblical concept of the local church”. We also coordinate trips by Cabécar to teach and distribute the translated Scriptures.
