As an integral part of our daily ministry we run a shelter for Cabécar travelers or families in need. Most of these families have medical emergencies, upcoming childbirths, or serious, long-term illness in the family. They need a place to live or camp close to the local clinic which connects them with the National Health system (hospitals and specialized care.) Our farm serves them well as these families need somewhere to live within range of their villages 6 to 8 hours’ hiking distance away.
We look after the physical needs of all those we shelter, as well as provide Bible studies on Wednesdays and church on Sundays.
